The Accelerate Convention held at The beautiful Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada was a smashing success ! Around 1500 excited ASEA associates and guests turned out for the FIRST CLASS Production put on by the “best in the industry” ASEA Staff, lead by CEO Verdis Norton, President James Pack.
Session One opened with a memorable presentation by CEO Verdis Norton
Here are the highlights! Thanks to our own associate
Patty Duffy for recording this historic ASEA event! Here are the detailed notes Patty took from the event for you to enjoy.
Mr Norton outlined the ASEA StratLink program, teaching that there are 3 parts to understanding your business: situation analysis, competition, and internal assessment. ASEA is positioned in front of
Population grew from 1 to 7B in last 5000 years. Now every 10 years we’re adding a billion people to the planet. Basic necessities of life represent an issue in underdeveloped countries such as Africa, India and places that can’t feed themselves—this will be the biggest growth areas of the world. This is stressing the human ecosystem and health is declining because of that. Global illness/disease is growing faster than the population. Diseases are trending up at an alarming rate in the US. Asthma doubled, learning disabilities doubled, diabetes tripled, autism increased in every state; half of Americans suffered at least one chronic disease. As population doubled, diabetes grew 20x. Causes: biological, environmental, chemical, lifestyle, changes. As food starts moving around the world, so do pathogens.
Escalating Healthcare Costs
US has the highest healthcare costs in the world. We are 37th for performance; 71 countries have better healthcare than we do. We see doctors only 75% of the number of frequency of benchmarked countries, yet we spend 2.5 times the average, and we don’t live as long. Only 5 countries with lower life expectancy. Something is drastically wrong with our healthcare system!!!!
Dr. Benjamin Rush (George Washington’s doctor) had this prophecy in 1787:
“Unless we put Medical Freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship . . . to restrict the art of healing to one class of men, and deny equal privilege to others, will be to constitute the Bastille of Medical Science. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in a Republic … The Constitution of this Republic should make special privilege for Medical Freedom as well as Religious Freedom.”
Healthcare costs will continue increasing without major reform. Reducing sovereign debt will become a global imperative. The answer: Everyone must act to take charge of your own life and health. Our answer:
Allows a person to leverage personal and company resources to drive above average income. Strategy is all about leverage. Network Marketing generates above average financial returns for companies that align themselves with principles that optimize the business model. This is almost recession proof. Engenders human development and aligns with drivers that enable self actualization. It builds people.Genetic drivers that shape and influence human behavior (from the book Driven, written by Harvard Business School scientists, 1994.) These drivers reside in the limbic portion of the brain. (Lawrence, Nohria)
1. To acquire 2. To belong 3.To become 4. To defend
Our industry is built on these drivers.
The Business Model Lucrative—above average income potential for those who want to work. Only 13% of the people in it work over 12 hours per week. 20% of home based entrepreneurs report income between $100 and 500K annually. Average income is $59,250. Company performance measure better for network marketing companies than traditional. Interest is surging. The model is gaining credibility. Warren Buffett has now bought 3 companies and looking for more.
Paul Zane Pilzar in The Wellness Revolution predicts wellness industry will grow to $1 trillion by 2012. Verdis Norton remarked that ASEA was profitable in the first year, and will double this year, more than double next year. International expansion is coming. Vision: To attain worldwide distribution of ASEA while setting a new industry standard for principles management.

Power of Culture (comes from the word cultivate)
Set of beliefs, behaviors and characteristics transmitted from one generation to another. Ethos is a distinguishing spirit of a culture or community, such as Aloha is for Hawaiians. Verdis laid out a “you are here” map. No other company in the industry like this.
Become jealous about our ethos, who joins us and who gets to wear the uniform. This is what worries Tyler. We want only people who will protect this.
Three Bes of ASEA Ethos (this is on the new strategic CD in starter kit)
BElieve in yourself. You’re playing small doesn’t serve the world. We are all meant to shine.
“As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson http://www.marianne.com/
BElong. Tyler went over Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
WE are ASEA. It’s not the company, it’s in all of us. I AM ASEA!!
BEcome. You don’t build checks, you cash checks. You build people.

It’s not what you want to happen, it’s what you believe will happen.
Successful strategy is weekly meetings, lunches. Serve sandwiches, trail mix and water. Run it only 12-12:50 and be punctual. Let people share their stories. It liberates them.
If you tell somebody something they may forget, if you show them they may remember, if you involve them, it will stick.

Told his story how at age 19 he and a friend saw homeless people who could not afford to eat. The two of them gathered up food donations and took it to them. The woman made up some spaghetti and fed them first. He decided he wanted to help others, and this is why he’s involved in ASEA.

2 young boys, 4 and 5ish
One son in a wheelchair, was born with a broken hip. Couldn’t stand for more than 5 minutes. Two weeks after taking ASEA he was playing out of the chair for 5 hours. Was dancing last night at reception. Have pictures to prove it.
The second son hadn’t spoken more than 2-3 words to his mother until he started on ASEA. Last night he was able to tell his mother he was tired from dancing and playing.

Keep new Success Guides in inventory so you can give them to people right away without waiting for their kit to arrive. Then they can replace it. Go through this guide and know it inside and out!
Need the Right Time, Right Place, Right Person
20% success rate is “perfect”
If you’re talking to someone who says they already feel great, ask them specific questions from the health inventory, and they’ll probably find there really is something that’s not quite right.
Write down your ASEA story and get rid of irrelevant information. It doesn’t matter what block you were on, whether it was raining, etc. Just get to the heart of it.
Get a 15-second pitch:
Ex: I work with a brand new bio tech company on an exciting new science. I’m looking for somebody to work with me. Do you know anybody?
Ex: I work with a bio tech company which has discovered a new health science, etc.
Ex: I’ve got something you’ve never seen before in your life. You’d better find out about it sooner rather than later. It’s called redox signaling. You want them to say “what’s that?” Get them to look at the video.
Mention that Verdis is a Fortune 50 guy. What’s he doing here?
If they try to show you their deal, tell them I don’t need to look because I have got the best thing on the planet.”
When you talk to people who know you they are thinking about why you are in this, did you get fired, are you in trouble, etc. Get a third person on the line so that the focus is off of you and your past.
The single greatest category of people who benefit from tax deductions is the home based business person. Why? Congress was wrestling with the question of how to lessen the impact of the bad economy. The next time there would be layoffs, etc. they wanted a person to have a back-up plan, that is a home based business, so they could just shift into that when/if they lost their job. To encourage people to do this, Congress figured they should pay people—best way to do that is thru tax deductions in the amount of $3-6K. They figured this covers start-up costs.
Whenever you have a tax changing circumstance in your life such as getting married, buying a house, having kids, new home, loss of job, you can change your exemptions. So if you have another job, you go to payroll and get this changed. Taxes are also reduced for a self-employed person.
Conditions
1. Have to work on a regular basis—definition of “regular basis” is 3 hours per week. This supersedes any auditor’s opinion. To prove you’re working it, you just need notes in a daytimer or anything else that establishes that.
2. Prove that you have the intent to produce a profit (rules out the hobbyists).
3. To prove this you keep records
a. Set up a biz checking account
Top deductions for home-based businesses:
1. Business use of home or home office deduction
i. If it’s 20%, then 20% of your rent/mortgage becomes deductible and 20% of utilities, repairs, maintenance, insurance and all overhead.
2. If you have not established your home as the place of business, driving to calls are not deductible. If you drive from one place of biz to another, it is. This is the 2-biz locations rule, that is driving from one biz to another is deductible.
3. Vehicle: Some people don’t claim it because they think it’s not worth much. Wrong! AT 55.5 cents a mile, it’s worth it. You can probably qualify about 70-80% of your miles driving to biz related events.
4. Hire your spouse as a PT employee. Min 100 hours/year (2 per wk). This establishes you as the employer and spouse as the employee. Give your spouse a document that says they will get a tax free benefit where the company will reimburse medical benefits for the employee and everybody in your immediate family. The employee then dovers his dependent (you) so you’re both covered. Works even if you’re not married.
5. Employing kids. Any child over 6 years of age can be employed in a HBB. Tax code says so and overrides any auditor’s opinion. Say you pay an allowance to a child. Wages are tax deductible for you and tax free for a minor up to $8400. You write out a check to the kid and open a custodial checking account because they can’t cash it. Money goes into the account which you can then use someday for a college fund, school supplies, etc.
6. Travel
7. Entertainment
He has a CD program to help people. He’s looking for testimonials and will offer a special deal on this program if you provide one for him.
Doctors Panel
PBS and American Health Journal did a TV program. Dr. Ward and Samuelson appeared on it. It should be up on their site (but not available on DVD) at www.americanhealthjournal.com. 30 million viewers.
Re detection of these molecules in ASEA:
They are now aligning the corporate marketing with these, so we’ll be getting additional documentation to help with the skeptics. There are more media outlets approaching ASEA for information, so we’ll see more out there.
My question about people who have quit smoking. What happened there? Dr. Ward says to think about this way: RSM helps the body get balanced and do the right things. In KY he sees many people who are quitting, and what they notice is that their cigarettes taste different. This is because the cells are changing, and the old toxic cells don’t “remember” the taste of smoking anymore. Helps them quit.
When asked if ASEA is “anti microbial” the answer was that ASEA has the same molecules as the immune system, which is the weapon of choice for fighting all infections.
At the bottom of the pyramid is survival. Get into a business or something just to make the mortgage payment.
Second level is competition. You go beyond survival and start thinking about making things happen financially or otherwise. You feel like you want to win the race.
Third level is excellence. So many people allow mediocrity to rule when excellence is possible.
Top level is cause. This goes beyond being concerned about just yourself. If you don’t follow through, do your job, other people will suffer. This is your WHY.
Illustration: If he takes U added to a CASE, you get CAUSE. What is the cause for you?
People who live joyful lives share one thing: they are a part of something bigger than themselves.
“Service is the virtue that distinguishes the great of all times . . . It places a mark of nobility upon its disciples. It is the dividing line which separates the two great groups of the world: those who help and those who hinder; those who lift and those who lean; those who contribute and those who only consume. “
